SBSE Ebenezer Congregational Church and Cemetery PDF Print E-mail

The village of St. Brides-super-Ely had at least two known non-conformist congregations: Welsh Congregational and Welsh Wesleyan (Methodist).

Ebenezer Congregational Church

The photo at right is a private residence that was once the Ebenezer Welsh Congregational Church, which was registered 17th March 1834.  It was an offshoot of Taihiron (1833).  A cemetery affiliated with the church, is now contained in the private garden of the house.  There is no public access to the cemetery.

Records from the church have not been located.  The Glamorgan Family History Society transcribed gravestones in 1984. [See Bookmarks section of this site for contact details.]

Fewer than 50 marked burials range from 1877-1970.  The following table contains a list of surnames found in the transcription:
