The yew tree standing beside St. Bridget's Church is thought to be at least 1,000 years old.

According to details in the Ancient Yew Group database, the tree in 1998 was described as follows:

Height measured:  at 30cm
Girth ft ins:  24' 6" at 1'
Sex:  Male
Earliest mention:  1945
